The VHBB9124 pole unit and the BBA9106 biconical antenna with cascade matching work together to become a dipole antenna with improved bandwidth.

Antenna support /Balun with cascade matching is mainly designed for biconical elements, such as BBA 9106 or BBAL 9136. It can also be used as a dipole with improved bandwidth together with the rod unit.
VHBB 9124 Balun provides particularly good symmetry (common mode rejection), especially at the low frequency end (20MHz to 40MHz). If the symmetry of the cable braid current is not good, serious errors will occur.
Biconical antennas usually do not match at low frequencies and show negative gain. The globally popular dipole VHA 9103 and BBA 9106 biconical antennas provide an antenna coefficient of 19dB/m at 30MHz. The same double cone element is added to the 200:50Ω VHBB series Balun, the gain will be 5dB better, and it shows a "more sensitive" antenna coefficient of 14dB/m.
