LISN line impedance stabilization network/AMN artificial power network

LISN line impedance stabilization network/AMN artificial power supply network.

Provide the necessary power supply voltage (AC or DC) and current for the device under test ( EUT).

Coupled interference voltage generated EUT, and provided to a receiver.

Provide well-defined RF impedance to the device under test ( EUT).

Prevent unnecessary interference from the power supply (filter).

Protect the power supply from unnecessary interference voltages generated by the equipment under test.

main feature:

  • LISN line impedance stabilization network/AMN artificial power network
  • Provide the necessary power supply voltage (AC or DC) and current for the device under test ( EUT).
  • Coupled interference voltage generated EUT, and provided to a receiver.
  • Provide well-defined RF impedance to the device under test ( EUT).
  • Prevent unnecessary interference from the power supply (filter)
  • Protect the power supply from unnecessary interference voltages generated by the equipment under test
  • We can distinguish three types of LISN: V-type, T-type and Delta-type LISN
  • V-LISN measures the asymmetric interference voltage between two lines L1 and ground or L2 and ground. V-LISN is also called V-AMN, and V-LISN is currently the most commonly used LISN.
  • There are two types of V-LISN with different impedances . V-LISN (CISPR 16-1-2, CISPR 25, ISO 7637, DO160) with 5μH inductance is usually used to measure vehicles, ships, and airplanes, which are connected to the on-board power supply with DC or 400 Hz. According to CISPR 16-1-2, MIL STD 461 and ANSI C63.4, another 50μH V-LISN is designed to operate at a power frequency of 50 Hz or 60 Hz.
  • T-ISN (right side of Figure 2) measures the asymmetric interference voltage (common-mode voltage) and provides it to the EMI receiver. T-ISN is usually used to measure telecommunication and data transmission equipment connected to symmetrical lines (such as twisted pair).
