The F-120-8 clamp injection probe is a high-efficiency, broadband injection probe developed to meet the performance requirements of GM 3100 and ISO 11452-4. The main challenge is to provide 1A of current to the 50Ω calibration fixture between 1MHz and 30 MHz during the calibration step of the test program. The advantage of F-120-8 lies in its high efficiency, from 500kHz-400MHz, its loss is less than 7dB, from 1MHz-30 MHz, its loss is 5dB. The standard injection probe requires up to 7000W to reach the 1A level, but the power required by the F-120-8 is less than 220W.
