FESP 5132 is mainly used in the anti-interference test of magnetic field, and it complies with the standards EN 55103 and MIL-STD-461 E. According to the characteristics of the current source, a magnetic field of up to 1500 A/m can be generated in a short time. The generated magnetic field is proportional to the coil current. A distance ring allows a precise distance of 50 mm between the coil and the EUT surface.

In some cases (requirements for medium field strength) a known series resistance can be used to measure the voltage across this resistance. The voltage reading that can be easily obtained on the resistance corresponds to the generated magnetic field proportionally. Larger series resistance has greater frequency dependence than inductance (but the efficiency of field strength is reduced).
FESP 5132 can also be used to measure existing magnetic fields. The open-circuit output voltage is directly proportional to the magnetic field strength (the frequency is constant), or directly proportional to the frequency (the magnetic field strength is constant). The output voltage of FESP 5132 should use high impedance measuring equipment. If 50Ω measuring equipment is used, the source impedance of FESP 5132 must be considered for frequencies higher than 30 kHz (50 Ω at 100 kHz, 100 Ω at 200 kHz).
